New year new residents

Ok so this is a bit of a mad mess here are photos ranging from late summer last year(2018) to last month this year(2019)

This is the first little hedgehog I have ever seen! and my horse was quite intrigued by him too.

A trip to the sea side showed me this cute pair.

These are oak galls I found on some oak trees we planted last year. The monks who wrote the Book of Kells would use these to make green ink!

Not blue berries and most likely poisonous.

Pollen must be becoming scarce as this red admiral and bumblebee share a dandelion.

Mushroom not sure what variety.

A wish on a fairy hawthorn.

Another first here we have a Kestrel I was so excited when I saw this guy.

We're off to meet the Winter

Here we are again so late summer and the signs of winter are seeping in the air is cooler the wind is sharper and last but not least there is snow on the mountain tops.

My first (good) attempt at taking a photo of the moon.

Some autumn colours

I never tire of this view.

Not sure what kind of hawk this fella is.

It always amazes me the shapes a spider can make their webs. This one is a tunnel a perfect cylinder of web.

Robins and wires

Some coastal scenes and wild birds.

Black crows sat on the wall.

These are potato runs they were made around the famine, they were so well made they have yet to be beaten flat.

some pieces i collected from the beach 3 pebbles a shell with a hole in it some sea water and a little palm branch.
Ok that's all folks also ignore the time stamps on my posts these are from august 2018.

European Eagle Owl

Harrier Hawk

American Red tail falcon

Peregrine falcon

Barn Owl

Trim visitor's center is also doing a display on medieval Armour.

When Autumn comes to Call

Ok so I'm waaaay behind on my photos but its been a good time for camera work so here we go. Oh and look out for the fantastic pheasant.

Never keep your eyes off the skies these three put on a great show over my house one day.

Trim Castle its surprising what you get when you change the angle from which you look at something.

This little guy is a red damsel fly personally I thought they only came in blue!

This Red Admiral and Bumblebee decided they wanted the same dandelion

Tiny little butterfly.

Love the colour's but I wouldn't touch it if you payed me!

There are always a lot of crows around at this time of year still I like to watch how they fly.

Heads down and eating hard.

The frost turned this dandelion into a spiky pompom!

Ladies and Gentlemen may I introduce you to the first(that I've ever seen) white pheasant! (or Phantom Pheasant)

The Faces of Nature

Ok so I wonder if any of you ever collected leaves as a kid brought them home and stuck them to sheets of paper making faces and designing patterns. Well sometimes when I'm out with my camera I'll look for the face in the grass or the tree. That weird moment when the way the snow falls could nearly be a face or a cloud passing between two trees looks like a cats eye. I like these kinds of photos because to me they show great imagination and its like playing Where's Wally in the field a game just for you and nature. So today I thought I'd share some of my finds.

and Flip...

The great cat is watching you ;)

A lot of people find this one hard to spot.
Personally I think he is a very distinguish character!

Did you spot him?

This one is a little trickier to spot, or you may spot one I missed.

Maybe a little far fetched but I see it.
